Photographer Andy Roberts

Who is this unassuming BMW Riding Gentleman I hear you ask?

It is my pleasure to introduce you to my friend the Photographer Andy Roberts, snapped here for "weareninetynine" who took a look at the tale of his custom bmw r80.

Andy lives in Bondi, Sydney and is famous for his ability to capture and romanticise the bike & surf lifestyle along with the events where us adrenaline chasing folk dwell. Andy has a distinct way of capturing the beauty of a portrait or lifestyle with his clever use of natural light and subtle blurs of motion. All juxtaposed beautifully by his undeniable talent at capturing a landscape and the colours within.

Whilst living in Sydney Andy and I swam at icebergs, freelanced from the same old wooden table with very important coffee and croissant stops and went to many of the Sydney bike and surf events ranging from The Distinguished Gentlemen's Ride to the Deus Surf swaps.

Here's a 5 min snapshot interview with Mr Andy Roberts.

10. Life Quote?

From birth, man carries the weight of gravity on his shoulders. He is bolted to earth. But man has only to sink beneath the surface and he is free.” – Jacques Cousteau

Before I left Sydney Andy wanted to capture me in my usual surf attire at home on the balcony of my Art Deco flat I shared. I love these shots and they really capture the Brigitte Bardot style I love so much.
